Medicare Part D

Part D of Medicare is often combined with Medicare Supplement plans to cover many of the costs associated with prescription drugs. Each Part D prescription drug plan has its' own formulary, which is a simply a list of drugs that the plan covers. There are also tiers to each formulary, which indicate the different costs of drugs depending on the tier they fall into. Part D plans often change the list of their formulary, which is why it is important to review your prescription drug plan on a yearly basis to ensure you are in the correct plan based on your prescription drug needs.
